Shot on a chilly morning this is the North Beach neighborhood in San Francisco, on the bottom of the hill is the famous Saints Peter and Paul Church.
The MGM Grand’s lion exhibit always stood out to me as the most impressive. I was sad to hear they have closed the lion show down permanently and am grateful I was able to see it before it was gone. This photo was taken while the lions were being fed, and the trainer had purposely thrown sticky slices of raw meat onto the glass viewing panels. This male was truly an enormous, beautiful beast.
Horseshoe Bend is extremely beautiful and is a short side trip along the way to Lake Powell that doesn’t cost anything. Found just off highway 89, south of Page, AZ.
