We all know that in this day and age our time is precious, so when we get a chance to escape the rat race and go on holiday we have to make the most of it.
I recently returned from a tour to Italy. I’d heard about small group tours to Italy from friends so me and my partner thought we’d give it a try, I can say it won’t be the last tour because it was absolutely brilliant.
We only had 2 weeks out of the office, so when we were looking in to tours to Italy we wanted to see as much as possible in that time. The best option we found was an 8 day tour, and trust me when I say that this tour had it all.
Here’s what we were able to see on out eight amazing days in Italy.
Day 1-2: Venice
Our trip got off to a great start in Venice. We had a full day to stroll around and experience the floating city before we linked up with the rest of the group that evening. If you want to get the most out of Venice then make sure you start your day off at Piazza San Marco. Have a cup of coffee, take in the sites and get ready for the rest of the day.
Day 3-4: The Cinque Terre
The Cinque Terre is one of the best places you’ll ever visit, your instagram will be loaded up with pictures after you visit. Once you get home you’re friends are going to get overloaded with the pictures you show them. This was the most laid back and relaxing part of the tour, which is great because the other places we visited were quite busy.
Day 5-6: Florence
I might not make any fans with my French or German readers, but I say with full confidence that the architecture in Florence is the best in the world. As soon as you stroll around the corner and lay eyes on the Piazza del Duomo your mind will be blown. On top of that you’ve got the Catterdrale di Santa Maria del Fiore. If you’ve been to Paris and love the sights, I promise that Florence will trump it hands down!
Day 7-8: Rome
No trip to Italy would be complete would be complete without visiting Rome. I had been there before 15 years earlier with my parents and loved it, second time round it didn’t disappoint. The colosseum is without question one of the most special places you;ll ever see in your life. We had a whole day in Rome and we wished it lasted longer.
