Our Lady of Guadalupe (Spanish translation: Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe) is a highly celebrated Roman Catholic icon of the Virgin Mary and is one of Mexico’s most popular. The Santuario de Guadalupe adobe church located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It is the oldest shrine dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe in the United States. Constructed in 1776, in close proximity to the old 1,500 mile long trading route from Mexico called Camino Real. Nicknamed the “Soul of Santa Fe” the church has undergone several remodels and renovations.
Storm clouds always seem to make a photo more dramatic and moody. Nice shot. 🙂
