I’m super excited to share this week’s photo with everyone! On March 30, 2013 was an event unlike any I’ve experienced before. The annual Holi Festival of Colors in Spanish Fork, Utah is the largest celebration of Holi in the western Hemisphere. The Holi festival is a religious (Hindu) celebration for the arrival of spring and the ending of winter and is a major event in India – but I didn’t have to travel all the way across the world to find over 50,000 people having a wonderful time and celebrating it!

I’m very curious as to how this event ending up taking off in Utah of all places.
I know the man responsible for the event was telling the audience the first year he did it only 2-3 people showed up and it’s gaining momentum every year since. A little history is on their website: Utah Krishnas
I’ve heard of this Festival a lot. My friends have been recently posting pictures from it. It’s incredible, so crazy and insane. I would love it!
Yes – I can’t imagine how crazy it would be to attend one of these India – it’s on the bucket list!
This looks like a ton of fun! My son was telling me that there is a huge festival in India where they do this.
It was a blast! Well worth the long road trip 🙂
