A sunset from the beach on Ambergris Caye, Belize’s largest island; located in the Caribbean ocean. Every night we sat out on the beach and enjoyed beautiful, picture perfect sunsets like this one; along with the sound of calm ocean waves splashing onto the beach. Normally I can’t stand to sit still long but it was very relaxing and I enjoyed every minute of it.
This was photographed on May 14, 2011. A few weeks after Belize’s peak tourist season, and the island was not crowded at all. It also didn’t rain or storm once the entire time we were there. The only town on the island is San Pedro and it was also nearly ‘tourist’ free and filled mainly with locals and uncrowded shops/restaurants.
