This incredible view is of downtown Phoenix, Arizona at dusk. Photographed from the top of the South Mountain park and preserve (the largest city park in the entire U.S.) at Dobbins lookout point. At over 2,000 feet in elevation this spot is well known for being the most spectacular view of the city and I doubt anyone would argue against it.
The center of downtown and skyscrapers are roughly 10 miles away and you can see for many miles into the distance including surrounding cities Tempe, Mesa, and beyond. Sky Harbor International Airport is located just East of the city (to the right in this photo) and planes were continuously landing and taking off right above the city.
