When you dive into the world of sports, you’ll be amazed at how many different sports there are and the different sporting events you can attend. Throughout the year, you’ll find sporting events almost every weekend and throughout the week. So whether you are interested in football, tennis, hockey, rugby, cricket, horse racing, Formula One or the many other sports in the world, we are sure you’ll find a sporting event that you can attend.
Watching sports is a great social event and something that you’ll remember forever. Before the event you can meet up with your friends for some food, during the event you’ll be talking about what’s happening and after you can go to your local pub for a few drinks to finish the evening on. You may even find yourself looking into an online casino that accepts giropay, so that you can make a small bet on the occasion. If you haven’t heard about Giropay, it’s an online payment system that allows customers to make purchases using direct transfers from their bank account in Germany. Alternative methods would be PayPal or Trustly
US Open, Tennis, USA
If you love tennis and haven’t had the chance to see a live tennis match, then going to the US Open should be on your bucket list of things to do. Watching tennis live is a completely different experience from watching tennis on TV. The speed of the ball, the shot choices the professionals make and the athleticism are so impressive. Tickets can sell out very quickly for the US Open, so you need to do this far in advance and you may be entered into a ballot. Carlos Alcaraz is currently the favourite for this year’s US Open but Novak Djokovic isn’t far behind and you know he can win, considering the amount of trophies he has won in the past. You also can’t write off Jannik Sinner or Alexander Zverev.
FA Cup, Wembley, United Kingdom
Football (or soccer, depending on where you are) is one of the biggest sports in the world, if not arguably the biggest. Every year, millions of people watch their teams compete, whether their country is in the internationals or a team within their country’s league. In the UK you have the Premier League which hosts some of the best players in the world and each year all the teams in the UK compete to win the FA Cup. The final of the FA Cup is hosted in Wembley each year and it promises to be a great game of football every time. Last FA Cup Manchester United beat Manchester City in the Final. Could the same happen this year or are we likely to see a different team in the final? Only time will tell!
Formula One, Abu Dhabi
Formula One racing is a completely different sport to tennis or football but it’s certainly one to watch. When you go to a Formula One race and you watch the experts race, you’ll be amazed at how talented they are. The cars are travelling at speeds of around 233 MPH and the race takes place over several hours – the concentration levels the racers must have is phenomenal. Each year you can head on out to Abu Dhabi where they host one of the major Formula One races. Here you’ll see many celebrities as well as an event that is very different to what you normally experience.
Boxing, Saudi Arabia
The boxing scene is inspiring at the moment, with the heavyweight division being particularly interesting. With the likes of Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, Alexander Usyk, and Daniel Dubois, all competing, there are some very exciting fights happening. Saudi Arabia has recently taken over the boxing scene with many big fights happening as part of the Riyadh season. If you get the chance, you should try to attend one of the fights as it promises to be a spectacle with an impressive undercard to accompany the main event.
We hope our list has given you some inspiration on the different sporting events around the world which you can attend. Some of the events will be more popular than others, so if it’s something you are interested in, try booking as far as advanced as possible, to avoid the chance of you missing out. Also, when going, make sure you bring your friends and family members along with you as you’ll make everlasting memories – sports are always better when you’re with others!
