Photographer Trey Ratcliff’s
Lightroom Presets!
Trey Ratcliff of Stuck In Customs is by far my favorite travel photographer. He has just released a new bundle full of Lightroom Presets (a $19.97 value). Included in the bundle are:
- 12 HDR-in-Lightroom presets
- 28 edgy and gradient presets
- 36 extra moody presets
I have tried these new presets out on some of my own photos and am loving the results. Here’s a few examples from the HDR presets:
Any photographers who use Lightroom (version 4 is required) will find these presets to be a handy addition to put finishing touches on their photos, bring out vibrant colors and details. Instead of buying the bundle yourself you can win it free here in my contest! Simply follow the 2 steps to qualify:
1. Like the Escaping Abroad Facebook page.
2. Post a comment below on what you enjoy most about travel photography.
The Contest ends on Aug 25th at midnight (UTC-07:00), and to qualify you must complete both steps. Winner will be chosen based on the answer provided in step 2. You must have Adobe Lightroom 4 to use these presets.
I’m a big fan of stuck in customs too! In fact, I met Trey whilst he was on work in Kuala Lumpur. Once I logged on to his website, there was no turning back! Totally hooked. What I like about travel photography? … Well, all things being equal, and if you take a fairly decent shot, then there’s no bad picture – there’s only perspective and a keen eye. That makes all the difference. I like seeing the different perspectives from other travelers.. as it reminds me there is more than ONE way, to make something look BEAUTIFUL! I enjoy that part, of travel photography where no two persons will look at a scene the same way 🙂
I was ready to write a nice essay about this, but for the space sake I’ll put it straight and simple.
Travel photography is very rewarding for a lot or reasons:
1. New locations, new subjects, new experiences.
2. Variety of subjects: landscape, people, buildings, street scenes etc.
3. The challenge to capture the particularities of each place, preferably in a unique way.
4. Given all of the above, you never get bored. 🙂
I like Trey Ratcliff’s work and I would like to try his presets.
Trey is my idol!!! He is one of the most amazing photographers out there. He is the reason I am so into HDR and travel photography. Travel photography is a passion of mine. It is what I want to do with my life. Travel the world and take amazing pictures. Travel photography lets you show people faraway places that they may never be able to go to. It lets them see what life is like in other parts of the world. When you are involved with travel photography, it is impossible to take a bad picture because no matter what, you are having the time of your life and doing what you love.
“You’ve got to push yourself harder. You’ve got to start looking for pictures nobody else could take. You’ve got to take the tools you have and probe deeper.” – William Albert Allard
Did somebody won this contest? 🙂
